The main parties in the Haryana elections are BJP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Indian National Lok Dal (INLD)-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Jannayak Janata Party (JJP)-Azad Samaj Party (ASP). There is a possibility of a direct contest between BJP and Congress on most of the seats. Pankaj Aggarwal said that 93 counting centers have been set up in 90 assembly constituencies of 22 districts of the state. The statement also said that two counting centers have been set up for Badshahpur, Gurugram and Pataudi assembly seats, while one counting center has been set up for the remaining 87 constituencies.
Talking about Jammu and Kashmir, counting of votes for 90 assembly seats will begin on Tuesday morning i.e. tomorrow. The results of this election will pave the way for the formation of the first elected government in the Union Territory after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. The main contestants in this assembly election are the Congress-National Conference (NC) alliance, People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This election is being held five years after the erstwhile state was divided into the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

In Haryana, both BJP and Congress parties claimed victory... However, in most of the exit polls, Congress has the lead. In Jammu and Kashmir also, all the parties expressed hope of victory. In the exit polls, there is a possibility of a hung assembly.
Haryana Election Results 2024 Live: After a months-long riveting campaign by political parties, the fate of 1,031 candidates, including Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, senior Congress leaders Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja, and JJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, will be sealed after results of Haryana Assembly elections come out. The counting of votes for all 90 Assembly constituencies began at 8 am today.
The BJP has been ruling Haryana since 2014 and is eyeing a hat-trick. However, it faces a formidable challenge from the Congress, which is seeking to make a comeback to the northern state after a decade. Most exit polls, including India Today CVoter exit poll, predicted a huge win for the Congress, suggesting that the party is likely to get 50-58 seats while the BJP may get 20-28 seats. The voter turnout recorded this time was 67.90 per cent, a tad lower than 68.31 per cent recorded in the 2019 election, but higher than 64.8 per cent seen in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
