Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at eight o'clock on Thursday night. During this time, he will explain the situation arising out of the corona virus as well as the measures taken to prevent this infection. The Prime Minister's Office gave this information on Twitter on Wednesday.

According to the tweet issued by the PMO, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on 19 March 2020 at eight o'clock at night. During this time he will explain the issues related to Kovid-19 and the steps taken to overcome it. In another tweet, the PMO said that the Prime Minister held a high-level review meeting on the efforts being made to deal with the Corona crisis. It discussed ways to further cement India's preparedness. Delhi has so far reported 10 cases of infection, including one foreigner, while Uttar Pradesh has recorded 16 cases including one foreigner. Maharashtra has reported 42 cases including three foreigners while 27 cases have been registered in Kerala, including two foreign nationals.

There are 11 corona virus patients in Karnataka. In Ladakh, the number of infections has increased to eight and in Jammu and Kashmir its number has increased to three. There have been six cases in Telangana including two foreigners. Four people, including two foreigners, are infected with the corona virus in Rajasthan. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Uttarakhand and Punjab have reported one case each. 17 people including 14 foreigners are infected in Haryana. Apart from this, a case has also come up in West Bengal. Congress veteran and former Union Minister P Chidambaram has also tweeted and said to lockdown completely. He tweeted, 'What will PM Modi announce at 8 pm tonight? If PM Modi does not do a complete lockdown for 2 to 4 weeks, especially in all the towns and cities, then I will be disappointed.

However, it has now been made clear from the Prime Minister's Office that no announcement like lockdown will be made in PM Modi's address. According to information received from PMO sources, some people are spreading the talk of lockdown in an attempt to exploit through rumors, which is completely wrong. The lockdown will not be announced in the Prime Minister's address.
In view of this epidemic, a situation like National Emergency or Health Emergency can also be used.
