This was one of my favorite books as a child but after a few moves, I lost my copy. I found this and ordered it to share with my daughter, to teach her a bit about her Greek heritage. It is exactly as I remembered it- the colorful pictures and intriguing stories about the gods and goddesses of ancient Greece still captivate me. My daughter is 5, so the wording it a bit plain for her but she enjoys the beautiful pictures and asks lots of questions about each deity. I wouldn't call this an educational book but it was a big part of my Greek identity growing up and I like sharing that with my daughter, even if we're not Greek Orthodox.

I just think it's an interesting subject and this is one of the best books I've found regarding Greek myth. Might be better for an older child, maybe 8 or 9, but it's a straightforward read and wonderfully illustrated.
Highly recommend and happy with the price, as I've had trouble finding it elsewhere. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition!
One of my 8-yr old favorite books. Will keep her entertained for many hours as she devours the myths and legends. She cannot wait to tell me about the different gods, goddesses, and mythical creatures described in the stories. The accompanying drawings are suitable for young children.
This book is also a perfect birthday gift for kids 7-10 to encourage them to read. I am now getting multiple copies to hand out as birthday gifts.
